upper back pain(r. shoulder blade)

i have had recurring upper right side back pain(shoulder blade area) for about a year now...my blood work came back normal (slightly anemic)and the x-rays showed a possible remote injury to the 2nd vertebre ----i am now on pain meds as well as anti-inflamatory meds..i am scheduled for a bone scan next week---any info on the subject of upper back pain?--
