My older brother had that procedure done back around 1992.
He had the surgery on a saturday and was back to work the
following monday. I myself have injured my back and the MRI
reveils a protuding disk, L5. I'm going to see a orthopedic
surgeon july 22nd. I also plan to see the same neurosergeon
my brother went to. I'm a welder and sculptor so I don't
expect it to be wise for me to return to work as quickly as
him. So the outcome for everyone would be different
depending on your age, physical condition and type of
activities that you do regularly. He said he noticed
right away that his pain was gone and the incision was
small and gave him very little discomfort. good luck!
