What I've Tried for Piriformis Syndrome / Sciatica - ultrasound, interferential current, massage, the 'sacro wedgy', tennis ball massage

I have a very tight right piriformis that has contributed to
trochanteric bursitis as well as
sciatic pain in my right leg. I have tried different forms of physical
therapy (ultrasound, interferential current, massage) which have helped alleviate the
sciatica but haven't really
released the piriformis. My latest attempt at a cure is the purchase of the 'sacro wedgy'
which arrived today, maybe that will align my sacroiliac and free up my
hips. Try an
internet search for piriformis syndrome and you will find all kinds of
info, much of it the
same, that will give you ideas about treatments (tennis ball massage,
etc.) and stretches.
Good luck, psb
