Hi there-
I actually have a herniated disc, but my chiropractor has
put me in "traction" a few times, and it sounds like the
unit is exactly what you are describing. He straps me into
cuffs that go around my calves, I hook into the bottom of the
unit and lie back, and then it flips me upside down so I am
hanging by my feet. You might want to see if you can find a chiropractor in your area that has
one for you to "try out". Good Luck! (I'm in Sacramento area if you want
his name and number).
