Back Pain after Surgery

Posted by Eddie

I recently had a disectomy on L5. It's now 5 months after the surgery and I'm still experiencing the same pain I had prior. The doctors are talking about inserting an implant in my back to stop the syatic (sp.) nerve from misfiring. Has anyone had experiences with these "implants"? What are the pros and cons of this procedure? One doctor tells me that they are prone to infection, the electodes breaks periodically, they have to be replaced ever few years, etc. I'm back to having injections which are no help either. To me the idea of an implant is not an option.

I've run the gambit on just about every pain medication there is, but to no avail. This whole situation sucks!! If there's someone out there that can help with this topic please help!

Eddie
