In Reply to: you can buy or rent (I rented) a TENS unit at a medical supply store and you wear it all of the time posted by onebentchick
I've had a frozen shoulder and spurs on my heels for the past year. They are very painful. I had all sorts of treatments, including from a chiropractor who gave up on me. I finally had some massage which relieved the shoulder pain. Then I heard about the TENS machines and thought I'd try and rent one and I must say it really helped my shoulder pain, but it did nothing for my spurs. It also helps for carpal tunnel syndrome, where your hands fall asleep at night. I found trouble with the pads, the slightest pull and the wires would come out. The one I have is the cheapest on the market, so I think it's probably better to get one which is more expensive. I doubt though, whether I will buy one, because it did nothing for my heels.
