Well I was diagnosed with bulging disc at L4/5 in 1989. Traction did help alot. I got my problem after playing rugby. Then in 1991 i was involved in a motorbike accident and the doctors performed a micro disectomy to remove the bulging disc. It helped until 2 weeks ago, that is exactly 11 years later. I have a reoccurance of the same problem.Went for MRI scan and it is the same L4/5 disc. Just discharged from hospital yesterday. According to the doctors, a second surgery would be a last resort. But to tell u the truth, traction helps a lot. I am having severe pain as i an typing this now. I have stopped riding but I also sail the keelboats. Doctors have advised me to take it easy.

All the way from Singapore
