Piriformis or something else?

I have been reading alot about the piriformis syndrome, I have been having buttock pain on the left side for apx. 1 yr. I have had 4 low back surgeries, now the dr. says something about piriformis my pain started only when I bent over now it is mostly constant and seems to be moving down my leg some, was wondering if these symptoms matched anyone elses with this syndrome? Hope to hear something soon I go for a piriformis block on friday April 5th, 02.Thanks
