This sleeping position is the most comfortable to me and is one my PT
recommended : lie on your side with the affected side up, knees bent so your
thighs are at a 45 degree angle to your body. Place a pillow between your legs
from your knees to your feet. this is also a good position to be in for self-massage
of your hip area (the muscles are relaxed) and while you are applying ice.
