Re: Piriformis Syndrome

I just wanted to add this seemingly obvious but nevertheless overlooked
aggravation to pain associated with piriformis syndrome and/or sacroiliac
joint disfunction. Literature usually mentions pain in the right buttock
and leg that results from the mechanics of keeping your foot on the gas
while driving. If you drive a car with stright drive, you know that the
effort required to work the clutch in stop and go traffic is excruciating
if you have piriformis pain. I imagine this could even CAUSE this problem
in someone with weakened pelvic muscles. It's a repetitive stress injury.
It's been a year and I'm back at PT and the chiropractor again. I'm going
to sell my car.
