DDS in L/2 to L5 & in C/6-C/7.

Posted by Bradley Burton

I have been living in pain for about 17 years now. The disks in my lower back, from L/2 to L/5 have degenerated and has caused the vertibre to put pressure on the spinal cord. The pain is constant, 24/7. I now have the same problem in C/6-C/7. This is causing pain to run down into my right shoulder, and down the left arm into my middle and ring finger. The ortho surgeon said that he would like to fuse my neck problem immediately. I would like to know if this pressure on the nerves will cause permanent damage. Nothing helps the pain. I do not like to take medications if I don't have to. I would like to know if there is disk replacement. I am a carpenter by trade and if I get the operations that they say I need I am going to be out of business. Please Help... Thank You
