If that's what you think Sarno says in his book, how could you have read it? He does not say that "stress" causes all back problems but that many back and other chronic pain problems are a psychological "defense" against the emergence of repressed emotions such as fear and anger. You think $800 a patient is a lot of money compared to what doctors are claiming from health insurance for back pain "cures" that rarely work? Been to the doctor lately?
