You are right. Cancer can be the cause of back pain but if you go to somebody good they might be able to evaluate it for you. But the question after that is what type of treatment you will seek and should you look at what caused the cancer in the first place. What are the down falls of the treatments you choose and what is the up side. Most bone cancers can be detected from X-rays but some reports show that X-Rays can cause cancers. Educate yourself by getting as many varied opinions as you can then you can choose the treatment you feel will be most beneficial to you. Remember doctors mostly do what they are trained to do and the body has a vast amount of mystery attached to it where as reported at the Mayo Clinic diagnosis was only correct at a rate of 27%. So seek varied opinions and don't be bullied or scared into treatment, base all your decisions on what you feel you need after you educate yourself. You are the only one truely responsible for yur health and you pay the ultimate price.
