could chiropractor make me worse?

Posted by chris

i have been seeing a chiropractor for 6 weeks in the hopes of finding some relief for my neck pain and migraines. i told the dr they had been becoming more frequent and severe and he took xrays and said the 1st and 2nd vertabrae were compacted as well as many other probs, but this was hte main one he thinks causing my migraines, something about pressure or swelling of the brain or something, it scared the crap outta me, so i started going 3x a week, now i am down to 2x week, and feeling like i am having pain in areas that didnt hurt 6 wks ago, plus more pain in my neck and more migraines, i currently have a constant pain in my neck and am having aching in my left arm. i asked the chiro yesterday if i was supposed to get worse b4 i get better and he said no. i said well i have been having a lot more pain since i started coming here, so that worries me, he said i wasnt coming in enuf, this was mon, yet he didnt sched me back until fri? i felt dismissed and told him after he adjusted me that i felt much worse than b4 i came in, and he did some massage wich helped some, its now tues nt and i still have dull pain in my neck, constant since the last adjustment, plus lft arm pain and sciatic nerve probs mon nt. should i be concerned? does this dr? sound like a quack, ? could this guy paralize me or something crazy if he is not heeding my warnings, ignoring my q's, etc. any advice would be appreciated. i really WANT to beleive that this guy is helping me, but with all the xtra pain, and his lack of concern,???
