I am not a physician! But i have extensive experience in Biomechanics and orthopedic rehabilitation.
No competent rehab facility would have you do ankle weights at full extension on your back for knee rehab.
Are you in the U.K.? I have heard such antiquated practices are still performed there. In any event, a seated
leg extension machine is minimum standard priocedure. There are numerous safety reasons for this practice, not to mention it is
much more effective. Back problems are certainly one of the safety reasons for using the seated leg extension machine, at slow
