went to see my psiatryst today, told her about getting enbrel (diskcure) she hadnt herd a thing about it in either use (arthritis or back pain)
she is gonna "check it out" and since its a drug, she decided she isnt gonna give me any pain medication untill she finds out about it..(even thouh i told her I was informed by the doctor it has no interation problems)
so here is the funny logic I wanted to share with all of you.
I have had 2 endoscopic discectomies, about 4 months after each operation, I felt a little better and seemed to be improving, BOTH TIMES, I was a dumbass and picked up something heavy and after that day, felt terrible.
SO, I tell this to my doctor, she says, "well I dont think surgery works for you"
which I answer "well, it seemed to have made a difference but I screwed it up by picking up something very heavy"
she answers back "well both surgerys failed"
and I stare blankly and wait a second and say "well, I mean, I WAS feeling better then I picked up something heavy, so maybe if I do one more surgery and DONT pick up something heavy, then I will be better, because it has been proven YES, i had surgery and YES after that surgery I felt an improvement, SO, me, keith, ME CAN feel better after a disc surgery"
and she just said "well, you are here in pain so it didnt work"
is it just me?
am I alone?
tell me you people realize the point I am making :}
a) keith has operation
b) keith feels slight improvement
= with surgery there is impovement
a) keith has operation
b) keith feels slight improvement
c) keith pick's up a heavy box and feels like crap all over again
= keith hurt himself with the box
for a grand total of "if keith has surgery and DOESNT pick up a heavy box, then he will feel better"
NOT, "SURGERY DOESNT WORK, NO MATTER WHAT"
thats like saying "keith modifies his diet to lower his cholesterol, keiths cholesterol goes down, keith eats 50 shrimp and a bucket of pork fat and his cholesterol goes up again"
is the answer to that "modifying your diet doesnt lower your cholesterol"
am I over explaining?
