hey there, I gather from many reports that the "free consulation" is the worst..
I never had or even considered the free consultation, I figured, i am gonna get the shot, i read as much as I could about it, just pay for the doctor..
So yeah, the free thing is the basis for many bad reports..
I never knew of a cheaper shot then $2200...when I did research on enbrel I read all about a shortage, so that is TRUE, it seems that this drug has really become popular..the shortage is 100% true.
I was never told of a rebate, I cant really say why there would be one, I mean, the drug cost them X amount of dollars, so that doesnt change with your outcome.
But hey, if they offer it, go for it...i would.
I too, am hoping for alternative sources of enbrel, if it "catch's on" there is going to be no way they can hold the high price..
The drug is used all the time for arthritis, all we need is for the doctors to get used to shooting it in the back instead of "into the bloodstream" and we have a deal :}
as you may have read in previous posts, I have taken the shot, and for 3 days felt 50% better, but am now having a relapse/flare up/whatever, i am currantly waiting it out with the possability of getting a "booster" shot of it.
Because the shot did help me alot "when it worked" so, in my opinion...and its just my opinion, give it a try..
because, 2 back surgery's, PT and pain killers have never made me feel 45% better..
it really goes to show you, that "they" doctors, are just guessing at this stuff....and then all of a sudden after years of my stuff, someone gives me a dumb shot and I feel relief?...that blows all this disc pressing on nerve root/degerative stuff they say out of the water.
but like i said, I felt good for 3 days, and now I feel like crap again...dont know how I will turn out, but all i know, is i felt like I never felt in 3 years AFTER the shot..so the drug does works in some capacity, just for who and how much do you need...
do whats best for you..
