Yes, you're right, the shortage is true...my web search revealed that the drug is difficult
to produce (it is yielded from hamsters), and there is currently only one plant making the
drug (Boehringer Ingleheim in Europe), and the second plant won't be up and running until
2003. The drug is prescribed mainly for Rheumatoid Arthritis.
