Hi Sharon,

i have had a mylegram done. If you can see if you can take some kind of pain medication before the procedure. I did not and it did hurt alot, and the worst thing was you have to lay on a table and stay still while they do the spinal tap. But then for 24 hours u are suppose to sit in a 45 degree angle and stay still and drink lots of caffenine. At least that is what I was told. Well I had a really bad headache for an entire week and my doctor that wanted me to get this procedure done was a doctor I had been referred to and he wanted me to get this test done before seeing him. and when I called his office to get a pain medicine prescription (percocet, which they gave me in hospital after mylogram) I was told since I was a new patient he didn[t want to prescribe me any narcotics and to just take Advil and drink caffiene and sit still. Can you believe that? So to make a long story short....get some percocets to take after and before you get this done!!!!!

Hope this helps!!!
Pennie
