Hi Sandra,
I am also facing spinal fusion both anterior and posterior (from front & back) with 2 cages and bone grafting from hip. My advice is to surf the net as much as possible on the subject. Also write down concerning questions you want to ask the doctor. Also if you type in the words "back pain message board" in the search area, this is a great place full of people like you and I that have in the past been through or are going through what we are. It has helped me a great deal to ask questions to these people , it is nice to chat with people whom have simailar problems and can relate!!
Also, if you have any questions to me feel free to email me. I have had the MRI, CT Scan, a Mylegram done and am taking Vicoden and the doctors want me to have surgery as soon as possible. Are you seeing an Orthopedic doctor or a neurosurgeon? I am seeing both.
